The Sarnia Police Service would like to thank the community for their assistance in solving several recent commercial break and enters.
Sarnia Police released two surveillance videos, on February 4th and February 10th, showing suspects committing break and enters to businesses in the south end of the city. After the release of the videos, investigators received tips from the community which assisted them with their investigation and they were able to make an arrest.
A 45 year old Sarnia man was arrested Thursday February 12, 2015 and charged for three separate break and enters. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of a prohibited knife and was also the subject to two weapons prohibitions. The accused man is in custody awaiting a bail hearing for charges including three counts of break and enter, possession of breaking and entering tools, possession of a prohibited weapon and two counts of breaching weapons prohibitions.
