Sarnia Police Service Vice officers charged a 37 year old Sarnia man for possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
Just after 10:00p.m. on Wednesday ,February 4,2015 vice officers were involved in a drug investigation in the 100 block of North Russell Street when they spotted the man . This individual was known to the officers from previous interactions with the police for drug offences. It was learned the man was out on bail as well as probation and that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest related to a theft charge. The man was arrested and during a search police located almost 21 grams of methamphetamine and almost $1,800.00 cash. The seized methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $2,500.00.
The man is being held pending a bail hearing and faces one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of failing to comply with conditions of his bail and one count of breaching his probation.
