Sarnia Police, Sarnia Fire Services, the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall, and the Ministry of Labour remain on scene at 449 Scott Road, Sarnia, the site of an industrial accident that resulted in an explosion and fire.
Five employees were transported to Bluewater Health with burn related injuries and two were subsequently transferred to London for treatment.
There was no off-site impact.
A small smoldering fire continues to burn inside the heavily damaged facility. Sarnia Fire Services remain on scene and are monitoring the situation closely.
Traffic is restricted on Scott Road to local traffic only and there is no through access.
The road and the scene is expected to remain closed for an undetermined length of time while the investigation continues.
