On Monday, October 06, 2014 at about 1:30AM a Sarnia police officer on patrol noticed a car travelling at a high rate of speed on Wellington Street. The vehicle was stopped and the officer spoke to the 29 year old Sarnia man who was driving. During the conversation the officer noted signs of impairment and arrested the man for impaired driving. The man was taken to the police station and provided samples of his breath which indicated he was three and one half times the legal limit.
The man has been charged with Impaired Driving and Driving with More than 80 MG. The man was also under a driving disqualification for a previous drinking and driving charge. He will also face charges for Driving While Disqualified.
