Early this morning, shortly after midnight, police responded to a disturbance in the area of Devon and Westminster. A male is alleged to have uttered threats to persons in this area, and then fled northbound on foot. He was carrying a dark colored back pack at that time.
With the assistance of the OPP canine unit, the male was located at Lakeshore and Regency, and arrested by Sarnia Police at about 1:20 AM. This is approximately 3 km. from the scene of the incident.
It appears this male made his way northbound by going through back yards.
The male did not have the back pack with him at the time of the arrest. Police would like to recover this back pack.
If anyone discovers this back pack, please leave it where it is, and contact police immediately. Police do not know what, if anything is contained in the back pack at this point. Given the threatening nature of the incident caution is urged.
If you locate any back pack in the north end of the city between Devon Avenue and Lakeshore, leave it where it is, and call police immediately.
