Sarnia Police Service is investigating an incident involving a suspicious male in the north end portion of the city. The incident took place on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at approximately 3:35 PM as a 13 year old girl was walking home from Cathcart Public School. As she approached her home she noticed a small black four door car idling in front of the neighbor’s house. The driver of the car was described as a white male with grey hair and short grey beard. The man was wearing what were described as reading glasses.

As the young girl walked by the car, the driver honked his horn and the girl ran to her home. The car sped into the driveway and the man got out and knocked on the door 3 or 4 times. After getting no response at the door the man got back into his car and left the area.

Police commend the young girl for being aware and taking the proper action. Police encourage parents to remind their children to be aware while walking and to travel with friends whenever possible.

If you can provide any information regarding this incident please call the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861 extension 5300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477
