The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) is investigating a shooting that occurred on December 20, 2023 inside a residence on White Circle (Aamjiwnaang First Nation).
At approximately 9:45 pm, officers from the SPS responded to a report that a 19 year-old male victim had suffered a gunshot wound. Upon police arrival, the victim was located and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects fled the scene but were located a short time later by the SPS.
Two males have been arrested and charged for their involvement in this incident:

- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Use of a Firearm
Aiden Lee Ransom-Oliver (19)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Use of a Firearm
- Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
The community can expect an increased police presence in the area as this remains an active investigation.
