On December 20th, 2023, officers of the Sarnia Police Service responded to White Circle which is located in the Aamjiwnaang First Nation community. Officers discovered that a 19 year old male was the victim of a gunshot wound to the back of his shoulder. The gun used was a handgun.
Officers quickly arrested two, 19 year old males for the following offences:
Jacob Franklin Oliver (19)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Use of a Firearm
Aiden Lee Ransom-Oliver (19)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Use of a Firearm
- Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
The victim’s injuries in this matter are not life threatening and are considered minor in nature. There is no ongoing threat to public safety at this time. The Sarnia Police Service are continuing to investigate this matter and currently remain on scene on White Circle.
