A dump truck driver has been charged with three HTA (Highway Traffic Act) offences following a collision that took place at approximately 8:30am in the area of London Road and Pontiac Drive.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries. The intersection was closed for numerous hours because of hydraulic fluid that had leaked onto the roadway. The intersection is now re-opened.
The SPS Traffic Reconstruction Unit attended and took carriage of the investigation.
The driver of the dump truck has been charged with the following HTA offences:
- Red light – fail to stop
- Heavy truck in restricted area
- Disobey sign
