A warrant is being requested for a 30 year old Sarnia man for 6 charges, including Break and Enter, Theft Over $5,000, Mischief Over $5,000 and numerous Breach charges. Sometime after 11:30 AM on December 24, the accused broke into an apartment on Earlscourt Drive. While inside, he put holes in the walls and smashed dishes and other objects. He then removed many electronic games, DVDs, jewelry, monitors, alcohol, loose change, a purse, suitcase and video games. The accused took these items to a location nearby.
The residents returned home to their apartment on December 24 around 5:30 PM and saw the damage. The police were contacted and the investigation began. Police spoke to several witnesses and the accused was identified. Many of the items were located in a nearby apartment but the accused was not. His name will be released once the warrant for his arrest is signed by a Justice of the Peace.
