On October 24, 2022, at approximately 5:00 AM, officers stopped a cyclist due to a Highway Traffic Act violation.
As officers dealt with the suspect they observed a fair sized object protruding from his sock wrapped in a plastic bag. As they investigated further it was determined that the object in the bag was actually fentanyl that the accused was attempting to conceal.
At this time the person was taken into custody and a further search located more fentanyl and a small quantity of cocaine.
As a result officers seized approximately 20 grams of fentanyl.
The accused, Terrence Vincent Plain, 37 years of age, of Sarnia, faces one count of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of a possession of a Schedule I Substance.
Terrence Plain was held for a bail hearing and has subsequently been released on a Form 11 by the Courts.
