On September 28, 2022, the Sarnia Police Service entered into an investigation where it was alleged a suspicious male in a vehicle approached a female high school student as she was walking to school, between 9:00 am and 9:20 am, in the area of the Rapids Parkway. The suspect was described as driving a white Dodge Challenger with tinted windows.
As a result of the investigation the Sarnia Police were able to locate the vehicle and determine who the driver of the vehicle was. This was ultimately due to witnesses and surveillance videos that were collected.
The driver was spoken to and after viewing all the evidence it was concluded that no criminal act took place and thus no charges will be laid.
We would like to thank the public for their concern and assistance in this matter. We realize that incidents such as this raise significant public fear and we wish to reassure the public that their safety is our paramount concern.
