Date: February 4, 2022

On February 3, 2022, at approximately 2:20 PM, a male and a female, that are known to the victim, attended his residence to use the facility.

As the two were about to leave the victim noticed that his cell phone was missing from where he had last just placed it. When he confronted them, the male “sucker punched” the victim and began to wrestle him to the ground. The female then grabbed a baseball bat that was present in the apartment and also began to strike the victim. This allowed the suspect male to break free and both the male and female attackers ran from the apartment.

The victim gave chase but the two ultimately got away. Officers were immediately able to attend the area and locate the two suspects. Both were taken into custody without incident. The victim did not sustain any significant injuries.

As a result of the investigation the following two individuals were charged:

  1. Sarah Agnes Mann, 31 years of age, of Sarnia, is facing one count of assault with a weapon and one count of robbery with theft.
  2. Edward Lee Oliver, 37 years of age, of Sarnia, is facing one count of assault with a weapon and one count of robbery with theft.

Both remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
