Over the course of the weekend, the Sarnia Police Service responded to approximately 175 calls for service. Calls included the following:
8 – 911 Hang-ups
13 – Alarms
5 – Assist ambulance
15 – Domestic disputes
8 – Family disputes
5 – Related to the Mental Health Act
6 – Noise complaints
12 – Check welfare/well-being of a person
5 – Shoplifting
5 – Thefts
16 – Unwanted persons
14 – Traffic complaints / enforcement
Road officers conducted approximately 35 routine traffic stops for various driving related concerns. Officers also issued 40 Provincial Offence Notices (tickets) over the weekend for various offences.
