As part of the Sarnia Police Service’s efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of its members and the public, the Service has implemented a Standing Order in relation to the Coronavirus Vaccination.

In short, the Sarnia Police Service will require that all of its members, both civilian and sworn, provide proof of vaccination by the end of October 2021.

If the individual fails to provide proof of vaccination, then that person will be required to present a negative antigen test on a weekly basis at their own expense.

Further, if individuals fail comply with the Standing Order then those individuals will be placed on administrative leave without pay until the requirements of the Standing Order are met.

These measures have been put in place, after much consideration, to assist in minimizing the possibility of our members being seriously infected by COVID-19 or having the disease transmitted to fellow employees or the public that we serve.
