On September 25, 2021, at approximately 1:00 AM, officers were dispatched to White Circle in response to a disturbance that was occurring in the area. Information received was that a firearm was believed to have been discharged and that a knife and axe maybe in the possession of someone.

A number of officers attended the area to investigate the matter. An individual was observed leaving a residence in the area where the weapons complaint came from. As the officers attempted to speak to the individual to confirm what had happened it was observed that the individual was wearing a hoodie and it appeared that the front pocket was weighted down with something. Officers wished to ensure that the male was not carrying a weapon as they continued to deal with him. At this point the male began to act in a concerning manner by putting his hands into the front pocket of his hoodie and attempting to gain control of an unknown item.

After being directed numerous times to keep his hands out of his pockets out of concern for a possible weapon, officers took control of the male by bring him to the ground and detaining him for investigative purposes. During the incident the suspect dropped a Ziploc bag containing suspected cocaine.

At this point the suspect was advised he was under arrest for the controlled substance and had been handcuffed. As the accused was being brought to his feet he broke away from the officers causing a brief foot chase to ensue. Officers were able to regain control of the suspect in short order and took him into custody.

A search of the suspect located approximately one thousand dollars in Canadian currency and six rounds of .22 calibre ammunition. No firearm was ever located.

It was later determined that the suspect was in possession of 216 grams of alleged cocaine with an approximate street value of $21, 600.

The suspect was identified as Jonah George Wilson, 18 year of age, of Sarnia. Jonah Wilson faces one count possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
