A wanted male who barricaded himself this morning on Tashmoo Avenue was arrested and charged.
On September 7th, 2021, just prior to 9am, while on patrol, officers in the Community Response Division located a stolen vehicle in the 1000 block of Tashmoo Avenue. This vehicle was associated to the accused in this matter who was wanted in relation to this vehicle theft. The accused was also located at this address although he barricaded himself in a trailer and was refusing to come out.
Shortly after 10am, the male exited the trailer and surrendered himself to police. After approximately 2 hours of negotiating, the matter was peacefully resolved.
32 year old Corey Devin Maness of Sarnia was arrested and charged with Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent and Failing to Comply with a Release Order. He was held for a bail hearing and has since been remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 10th, 2021.
