A 35 year old man was recently arrested and charged with several weapons related offences.
On August 9th, 2021, officers assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation after receiving information regarding illegal possession and careless storage of firearms in a residence. Officers then executed search warrants on August 10th and August 13th at a residence in the 200 block of Bessborough Drive in Sarnia.
As a result, detectives seized 5 handguns that were being illegally possessed and carelessly stored in addition to numerous rounds of loose ammunition at this residence.
Jeremy Michael Davis of Sarnia is now facing the following charges:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm X 5
- Careless Storage of a Firearm X 5
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Breach of Undertaking
The accused was held in custody and has since been released on bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 21st, 2021.
