Sarnia Police Service is hosting a “Cops for Cans” event this Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Wal-Mart on Quinn Drive in Sarnia. The event will be from 11 AM to 4 PM. A Sarnia Police cruiser will be parked in the lot between the two entrances of the store. The emergency lights will be on so it will be easy to spot. The goal is to fill the inside of the cruiser with donated food that will go to the Inn of the Good Shepard here in Sarnia.
Sarnia Police is teaming up with the Inn of the Good Shepherd for the upcoming Christmas holiday season in hopes of making sure the Inn has enough food to provide for those needy people this time of year. There is a Face Book page dedicated for the occasion; it is called “Cops for Cans”. Local high school students and students from Lambton College will be on hand to assist officers also present at this great, worthwhile event
