Broadcast time: 9:00 AM

Date: June 10, 2021

On June 11, 2021, at 12:01 AM, as part of Step 1 of the Reopening Ontario Act the following changes will take place:

  • outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people
  • outdoor dining with up to four people per table
  • non-essential retail at 15% capacity

As well, if the province wide vaccination rate continues to be strong and improvements in key public health care indicators are positive further steps will be ramped up. This in turn will allow the province to continue on its return to being fully open.

We would like to remind the public that enforcement of the Reopening Ontario Act will continue despite recent false information on various social media platforms of the police not enforcing current laws related to the pandemic. This apply to both businesses and any other person in contravention of the Act.

We realize that this has been a very difficult time but it appears that the sacrifices made by the many are finally showing positive results and allowing us to return to normal. Please do not let this be in vain.

The following link will provide further details regarding further steps of reopening: https://www.ontario.ca/page/reopening-ontario
