On October 17, 2020, at approximately 1:25 AM, the Shell Gas Station located at 1486 Plank Road was broken into. The thief or thieves made off with the ATM bank machine located inside the gas bar.
On November 3, 2020, members of the Ontario Provincial located the ATM bank machine off to the side of the road in Oil Springs minus the contents.
