Drug Search Warrant Locates Stolen Handgun

As part of an ongoing drug investigation, regarding the trafficking of cocaine, members of the Sarnia Vice Unit requested and were granted a search warrant to an apartment unit in the 200 block of Finch Drive.

On August 5, 2020, officers executed the warrant and made entry into the residence without incident. Officers located and arrested a male and female that were present in the residence.

Amongst various quantities of various drugs officers located a stolen .22 caliber handgun along with a large quantity of ammunition.

Currently the following two accused remain in custody awaiting bail hearings:

Jesse Anthony Alfano, 32 years of age, of Hamilton, faces the following charges:

1.     CDSA 5(2) Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

2.     CDSA 4(1) Possession of a controlled substance – LSD

3.     CDSA 4(1) Possession of a controlled substance – codeine

4.     CC 86(1) – Careless storage of firearm

5.     CC 86(1) – Careless storage of ammunition

6.     CC 91(1) – Unauthorized possession of firearm

7.     CC 92(1) – Possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized

8.     CC 95(a) – Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition

9.     CC 96(a) – Possession of a weapon obtained by crime

10.  CC 355(a) – Possession of property obtained by crime

Michelle Anne POIRIER 32 years of age, of Sarnia, Faces the following charges.

4.     CC 86(1) – Careless storage of firearm

6.     CC 91(1) – Unauthorized possession of firearm

7.     CC 92(1) – Possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized

8.     CC 95(a) – Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition

9.     CC 96(a) – Possession of a weapon obtained by crime

10.  CC 355(b) – Possession of property obtained by crime

11.  CC 145(5)(a) – Failing to comply with a release order x3.
