Everyday police officers get an opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives, and today, D Platoon officers did just that.
PC Boyd and PC Van Vlymen had the opportunity to interact with a gentleman who has become increasingly frustrated with being limited in his activities, to the point where he called the police station looking to vent those frustrations. These officers spent some time talking to him, listening, and learned that he liked fishing. Unfortunately, he lacked the required equipment to do it. Problem solved!!
Officers than had a few minutes to take a drive down McCrie Street to wish Michael a happy birthday. PC Wyville had to YouTube how to sign “Happy Birthday” in sign language. Thumbs up is universal. Here he is pictured here with the birthday boy!
