On Monday, March 23, 2020, at approximately 2:30 AM, Sarnia Police, along with Lambton Paramedics, attended a motel located in the 1700 block of London Line involving a male involved in an altercation that sustained injuries.
The victim had run from the room where the incident originally occurred and was located bleeding from an extensive laceration to his face. The 46-year-old male victim was transported to hospital for his serious but none life threatening injuries. The alleged altercation was due to the suspect robbing the victim of some personal items.
Officers were able to locate the suspect who was still in the room where the altercation occurred.
As a result of the investigation the accused, Sherwood Kyle Rogers, 31 years of age, of Sarnia, was charged with robbery and aggravated assault. He has been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.
