On March 3, 2020, at approximately 12:00 AM, officers were dispatched to a glass break alarm to a convenience store in the area of Davis Street and Christina Street.
Upon arriving on scene officers observed that a front window had been broken and a hammer left behind.
Officers were able to observe surveillance video of the incident and gather a description of the suspects who committed the break and enter.
A description of the suspects was broadcast to other officers in the area and one of the suspects was located a short time later matching the description from the video along with an item taken from the store. The second suspect was also located a short time later and taken into custody. This individual required medical attention due to injuries sustained as a result of the broken glass. The second suspect was also found to be in possession with an item stolen from the scene of the crime.
Both suspects were charged with break and enter. Their names will not be released as both are young offenders.
