A 24 year old male from Sarnia has been arrested and charged for Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.00. In relation to the same case, a warrant has been issued for another individual, that being a 36 year old male from Sarnia.

On September 24th, 2019 the victim in this matter loaned his 2015 Chevy Equinox to the wanted male in this case with the understanding that his friend was only going to borrow the vehicle for a few minutes, although his vehicle was never returned and eventually reported stolen.

On October 3rd, 2019 at approximately 3:45pm, the victim spotted his Equinox parked at a coffee shop in the 700 block of Exmouth Street where he decided to box it in with his other vehicle a 2006 Dodge Charger. The victim got out to talk to the accused and demand his vehicle back at which point the accused began reversing and slamming the Equinox into the Charger. At one point the victim used a tire iron to try and smash out the window of the Equinox to get the accused out of his vehicle. The accused was able to maneuver his way out and flee the scene.

Police were called to this disturbance and later located the Equinox on Pontiac Court. After conducting surveillance, police observed the 24 year old male in this case enter the vehicle and attempt to start it.
