Broadcast time: 11:00 am Date: September 19, 2019

On September 18, 2019, as part of an investigation involving the trafficking of methamphetamine and fentanyl powder, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit applied for and were granted a search warrant for a motel unit located in the 1700 block of London Line.

At approximately 7:30 pm members of the Vice Unit along with officers from Uniform Patrol made entry into the unit. Officers located a female suspect and a male suspect. During the arrest the female remained compliant but the male attempted to flee and to resist arrest. The male suspect attempted to dispose of evidence into the toilet and continued to fight with officers. At one point the suspect attempted to grab at an officer’s taser and refused to comply. After several minutes of dealing with the combative male he was finally handcuffed and brought under control.

Both suspects were ultimately transported to the Sarnia Police station with no further incident.
