At approximately 3:20 am, September 11, 2019, this morning, an officer on patrol with the Sarnia Police Service located a motorcycle that was being driven and determined to be stolen. The motorcycle fled from police and was later located involved in a crash.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with what is believed to be none life threatening injuries.
Due to the nature of the incident the Ontario Special Investigation Unit has invoked its mandate and will be investigated the matter. The Sarnia Police Service will not be commenting on this incident any further.
The Indian Road overpass has been closed at Campbell Street along with southbound traffic on Indian at Confederation and northbound traffic on Indian Road at Plank Road. It is unknown, at this time, when the roads will re-open.
