On September 2, 2019, shortly after midnight, Sarnia Police Service Officers were dispatched to the area of Front Street and Davis Street regarding a male party who appeared to have been “knocked out” and was lying on the road.
Upon police arrival a 30 year old man was found to be unresponsive and being treated by Lambton Paramedics. Individuals in the area at the time had also stopped to help the victim prior to the arrival of police and paramedics.
The victim was transported to Bluewater Health but due to the severity of his injuries was later transported to a London Hospital in critical condition.
Detectives from the Sarnia Police Service have continued their investigation into the matter and on September 4, 2019, arrested Sean Meade, 30 years of age, of Sarnia, and have charged him with assault cause bodily harm.
The victim in this matter remains in a London hospital in stable but serious condition.
