On July 2nd, 2019, at approximately 7:20pm, officers from the VICE Unit attempted to arrest two individuals in a vehicle that were suspected of conducting a drug transaction. Officers blocked the vehicle while it was stopped in a fast food drive-through lane in the 200 block of Indian Road South. The officers exited their vehicles and as they approached the occupants to advise they were under arrest, the driver accelerated forward ramming the unmarked police vehicle and pushing it approximately three meters away.
