Sarnia Police Service Responds to Two Serious Collisions Over The Last 24 Hours

On June 24, 2019, at approximately 2:45 pm, Sarnia Police Service Officers responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian on Michigan Line between Telfer Road and Blackwell Road.

The road was closed for several hours while the Sarnia Police Service Forensic Identification Unit and Traffic Unit investigated the scene.

The motor vehicle was travelling eastbound when it crossed over to the westbound lanes striking the guard rails and then struck a pedestrian who was in the area.

The 60 year old male pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries where he was treated.

The 54 year old female driver was charged with careless driving.

This morning, June 25, 2019, at approximately 7:45 am, Sarnia Police responded to a collision at the intersection of Modeland Road and Berger Road. The driver of the motorcycle sustained very serious injuries and was taken take to Bluewater Health but shortly thereafter transported to a London hospital for treatment.

Roads were closed at the time but have since re-opened to traffic after the Sarnia Police Service Identification Branch and Traffic Unit completed their scene analysis.

The investigation is still ongoing.
