Vice Seizes $8000 Worth of Cocaine

On June 13, 2019, at approximately 8:50 pm, as part of an ongoing investigation, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit observed the suspect in this matter enter a vehicle with two other individuals in the area of Devine Street and Indian Road to conduct a drug transaction.

As the suspect exited the motor vehicle he was arrested by Vice Unit Officers without incident. The suspect was searched upon arrest and officers located cocaine packaged to be sold along with over $1500 in currency.

Shortly thereafter, at approximately 9:15 pm, officers, who had already requested and were granted a warrant, made entry to an address located in the 100 block of Kathleen Street belonging to the accused.

Upon searching the premise officers located powdered cocaine along with other drug paraphernalia. Also located was $3500 in currency.

The total amount of cocaine seized that evening was 79.5 grams with a street value of approximately $8000.00 along with over $5000 in currency.

Jon Douglas Williamson, 40 years of age, of Sarnia, has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and one count of trafficking in a Schedule I substance (cocaine).

Williamson was held for a bail hearing.
