On Sunday, June 2nd, 2019, South Vidal Street between Clifford Street and Kenny Street will be closed from approximately 7am until 4pm. There will be no through traffic whatsoever. The detour route for southbound traffic will be Confederation Street to Indian Road South. The detour route for northbound traffic into the city will be Churchill Line to Indian Road. Barricades will be in place and police will be on scene to assist with this road closure and with re-directing traffic.
The purpose of this road closure is to remove a fallen tower from Imperial Oil. Please obey this road closure and follow all posted detour routes. As a reminder, the area of St Andrew Street at Scott Road will not be accessible during this time due to an existing road closure. Local businesses along South Vidal Street (north of Clifford Street and south of Kenny Street) will remain accessible.
