Date: December 18, 2018

On Saturday, December 15th, 2018, the Sarnia Police Service successfully held its 6th annual Holiday Hero Cram A Cruiser event at Lambton Mall.

As a result of this event, we were literally able to cram our SUV cruiser full of Christmas gifts! We received a total 332 gifts, which included a number of Lambton Mall gift cards as well as a number of Loblaws gift cards which will be distributed to over 300 families that were asking for sponsors this season.

The Sarnia Police Service would like to thank all donors that gave so generously and also thank the volunteers who helped with this event as you really showed your Christmas Spirit. A sincere thank you to the children who showed up on Saturday that decided to spend their own money to buy for a gift for another child in need. This act of altruism speaks volumes in our community and we thank you too.

The Sarnia Police Service has teamed up with the Inn of The Good Shepherd’s “adopt a family” program in an effort to help ensure that every child we can reach has a gift to open on Christmas morning. As in previous years, we have been able to exceed the needs of our charity partners, and as a result, we have been able to share donated gifts with other charity groups.

Again, thank you to all who made this such a successful community event and helped us reach our goal!
