On Wednesday September 5, 2018, at approximately 12:00 pm, uniformed and plain clothes members of the Sarnia Police Service attended the area of Michigan Avenue and Colborne Road looking for Kevin Martin Simpson who is wanted on an outstanding warrant. A concerned citizen contacted police stating they observed Simpson at a residence in the area. Simpson had been recognized from a previous Sarnia Police Social Media post.
Surveillance was established in the area and after a brief period of time Simpson came out of the residence and got into a white Chevrolet pickup truck. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle however the vehicle failed to stop and fled the area. A short time later, police located the pickup truck abandoned in the Beach Lane and Colborne Road area. Currently police and OPP K9 continue their search.
