Sarnia Police investigated two separate incidents over the weekend where they arrested two people at two different locations for smashing windows.
In the first incident on June 8 shortly before 1 AM, police were called to Fairview Crescent regarding a male who was smashing the windows out of a pick truck. Police arrived and located a 32 year old Sarnia man near the truck. He appeared intoxicated and was arrested. He was belligerent. Police spoke to witnesses who identified the man and stated what had happened earlier. Police located a baseball bat nearby. A 2004 Chevrolet pick-up was towed from the scene. He is charged with Mischief Over $5,000.
In the second incident, on June 9, around 1:30 AM, Sarnia Police were called to attend the 100 block of Queen Street regarding a woman smashing the window in an apartment building. Police arrived and spoke to witnesses who indicated a 35 year old woman who lived in the building had smashed the glass out of a door with a wooden cane. Police observed the damage. They attended her apartment and received no answer. A warrant is requested for her arrest on charges of Mischief Over $5,000 and Breach of Probation.
