Members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit entered into an investigation regarding an individual that was trafficking various drugs in the City of Sarnia.
Vice Unit officers were conducting surveillance on the suspect and observed a drug transaction take place at approximately 12:50 pm on May 1, 2018. The suspect was subsequently arrested and searched and a number of drugs were found on his person including hydromorphone, Morphine, and Nabilone capsules (a synthetic cannabinoid and can be used to decrease pain or nausea).
Vice officers requested and were granted a warrant for an address in the 1700 block of London Line where the suspect resided. The warrant was executed and further drugs were located.
The total street value of drugs seized was approximately $2835.00.
49 year old Darrin Robert Lewis, of Sarnia, remains in custody awaiting his bail hearing.
