Just this past weekend the Sarnia Police Service investigated a break and enter to the Hydro One Transformer Station located off of Finch Drive to the south of London Road. Suspects had cut a hole in the fence and entered the yard. It appears that nothing was taken at this time.
Sometime last evening (between April 9 to April 10, 2018) suspects again entered the compound by cutting a hole in the fence surrounding the yard to the transformer station. The suspects made off with for rolls of number 4 copper wire this time.
Not only are these individuals committing the crime of theft and break and enter but they are also placing their lives in danger by entering the yard with all of the high voltage current running through the area.
If anyone has any information related to this theft of copper wire or comes along someone attempting to turn in quantities of number 4 copper wire as scrap metal they are please asked to contact Constable Tyler Callander at 519-344-8861 (extension 6193) or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
