On Friday March 23, 2018, at approximately 11:30 am, officers were dispatched to a collision in the area of Exmouth Street and East Street. As the officer began his investigation into the collision he observed that one of the drivers displayed signs and symptoms of impairment and at approximately 11:40 am the officer formed reasonable grounds to arrest the accused and transported him to the Sarnia Police Headquarters where a Sarnia Police Service Breath Technician tested the suspect with the Intoxilyzer Instrument.
Upon completion of the testing it was determined that the accused had over twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
The accused, Gerry W. Morgan, 64 years of age, from Exeter, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having over 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.
On Sunday March 25, 2018, at approximately 7:05pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Telfer Road and Airport Road regarding a possible impaired driver. At approximately 7:20 pm officers located the vehicle as it was driving southbound on Airport Road. The officer observed that the vehicle was crossing the double yellow line and activated his cruiser’s emergency lights to bring the suspect vehicle to a stop. As the officer continued to investigate the matter reasonable grounds were formed at 7:25 pm to arrest the accused for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The accused was transported back to the Sarnia Police Service Headquarters and there supplied samples of his breath into an Intoxilyzer Instrument. Upon completion of the testing it was determined that the suspect had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
The accused, Benjamin J. Stoner, 40 years of age, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having over 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood.
