On March 20, 2018, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit entered into an investigation regarding the trafficking of large quantities of marihuana in the City of Sarnia.
At approximately 11:30pm officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and arrested two male suspects. During a search of the vehicle over two and a half pounds of marihuana was located along with $1675.00 in Canadian currency.
Both were held for a bail hearing and have since been released.
18 year old Keegan Michael VanGaver and 24 year old Ali Al-Ithawi, both of Sarnia, are facing charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking and are to appear in court next on April 11, 2018.
