On June 1, 2013 at approximately 6 a.m., Sarnia Police responded to the area of Cathcart Blvd. and Colborne Road., regarding a male going through motor vehicles. The suspect lead officers in a foot pursuit in the residential area of Kim, Kemsley, Stonecrest, Ridgewood and Denmark Streets and Oak Acres park. As a result, an 18 year old male was arrested for the offences of Theft Under $5000 and Trespass by Night.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a blue or black duffle bag or backpack with blue lettering. that was dropped in the area and not recovered. The accused also dropped personal items in the chase. If anyone comes across any items on their property or has had their motor vehicle entered through the night in this area please contact the Sarnia Police Service with the information.
The public is reminded to ensure valuables are not left in motor vehicles and to lock car doors.
