The fifth annual “Light up the Night for Noelle” run/walk will take place this Saturday, October 7th, 2017, starting at 7pm at Canatara Park.
The Sarnia Police Service would like to advise drivers that Canatara Park will be shut down to the public for a brief period of time beginning at 7pm. This is to ensure the safety of the participants who will begin the event heading southeast along Lake Chipican Drive, rounding west towards the Animal Farm. The main entrance at Christina Street and side entrance at Charlesworth Drive will be re-open to vehicle traffic after all runners/walkers have cleared this section of the road. Residents and visitors are asked to be patient during this time. The closure at these entrances is expected to last approximately 20 minutes.
The Sandy Lane entrance to Canatara Park will be closed to the public the duration of the event as runners will be re-entering the park at this location at random times. Participants arriving late are being asked to use Sandy Lane for entry to the event and participants who finish early are reminded to exit towards Christina Street.
