On September 19, 2017 just prior to 8am, a driver lost control of his vehicle heading northbound on Christina Street approaching Cromwell Street. As a result, this vehicle veered into the oncoming lane and sideswiped another vehicle travelling southbound. The section of Christina Street North between Davis Street and Cromwell Street was shut down for just over an hour. A 57 year old male from Sarnia was charged with Careless Driving and Driving While Under Suspension. There were no injuries reported in this case.
On this same date, just before 1:30pm, a vehicle travelling northbound on Christina Street collided with another vehicle travelling eastbound on Nelson Street. The eastbound driver, a 75 year old male from Sarnia, was charged with Fail to Yield to Traffic on a Through Highway. There were also no injuries reported in this collision and northbound traffic on Christina Street was re-routed for approximately one hour.
