Members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit entered into an investigation involving drugs being sold out of an address in the 900 block of Confederation Street in the City of Sarnia. On February 28, 2017 at approximately 9:30 pm the Vice Unit, along with the assistance of Uniform Patrol Officers, a Search Warrant was executed at the Confederation Street address in question.
Upon entry officers located a number of people in the residence along with the suspect from the investigation and two young children, both under the age of 5, which belonged to the suspect.
During the search officers located methamphetamine, hydromorphone, and Magic Mushrooms. The street value of the drugs seized was approximately $900. Also found during the search was approximately $900 in cash.
The suspect in this matter, a 32 year old female from Sarnia, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
The two young children were taken by a family member and CAS is now looking into their wellbeing.
The 32 year old female is currently in custody and awaiting a bail hearing today.
