On Sunday, December 4th, 2016, Joe Roberts, a former homeless youth, who has transformed his difficult life to become a successful businessman, will be pushing his shopping cart through Sarnia on a mission to end youth homelessness. His 9000km, 17 month journey began on May 1st, 2016 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and is scheduled to end on September 30th, 2017 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Joe’s 25km route through Sarnia will begin at City Hall starting at 7am and move north to Lakeshore Rd, east to Blackwell Sd Rd, south to Blackwell Rd, west to Modeland Rd, south Michigan Ln, west to Murphy Rd, south to Confederation St, west to Ontario St, west to Mitton St, north to George St, and west to Christina St ending at City Hall.
The Sarnia Police Service will be assisting by escorting Joe Roberts and his crew though our city this Sunday. We ask that drivers be patient and supportive of this worthwhile cause. Please slow down, and use caution when approaching the caravan of volunteers.
