On Saturday, November 26, 2016, the Sarnia Police Service held its annual Cops for Cans event at Walmart and the Real Canadian Superstore.
This year officers collected 6134 pounds of food in five hours. This year’s total exceeds last year’s total by more than 1000 pounds.
The food will greatly assist a number of families who rely on the Inn of the Good Shepherd for assistance during this upcoming Holiday Season.
Cops for Cans has been able to donate more than 16,000 pounds of food to the Inn of The Good Shepherd since it started four years ago.
Finally, a huge thanks to those who donated to this cause and continue to make Sarnia a better place to live.
