A 17 year old female has been charged with Careless Driving after striking a parked car and rolling her vehicle.
On August 31, 2016 at approximately 8:18am, the driver in this matter was operating a 2004 Chrysler Sebring eastbound on Cathcart Boulevard approaching Murphy Road. At this time she struck a car that was parked on the north side of Cathcart Boulevard causing her vehicle to flip over. She was then transported to hospital by ambulance and released shortly after with minor injuries.
As a result the driver, and lone occupant of the Sebring, was charged with Careless Driving under The Highway Traffic Act. This offence carries a fine of $490 and loss of six demerit points upon conviction.
