Free fraud prevention seminar for Sarnia residents offered by Mainstreet, Sarnia Police and RCMP
Sarnia, Ontario—With online, telephone, and other scams on the rise, Mainstreet Credit Union, along with the local Sarnia Police Service and RCMP, are offering a free seminar to create increased awareness and viliegence on protecting yourself and loved ones from fraudsters.
“We live in a world with increased fraud and cyber-threats. Mainstreet felt on National Elder Abuse Awareness Day (June 15), it was the perfect time to shine a light on this important topic to not only protect our Sarnia senior residents but community members of all ages” shares Mainstreet President and CEO, Janet Grantham.
The Sarnia Police Service along with the RCMP will be focusing on various trends involving internet scams, phishing, elder scams, Canadian Revenue Scam and other current topics.
