On Saturday April 6, 2013, around 10:15 AM, Sarnia Police were called to attend the 700 block of South Indian Road in regards to a man on a bike with a knife.  Officers arrived and found a 46 year old Sarnia man on a bicycle in the parking lot of a business.  He appeared incoherent.  There was a large piece of wood attached to his bike with a knife sticking out the end.  They could also see a silver handle protruding from a bag over his shoulder.

He was arrested and handcuffed.  One of the items in his bag was a six inch stainless steel meat cleaver.  A total of 9 weapons were taken off the accused.  They included four other knives, a straight razor and a sock with a stainless steel ball in the end of it.  This is commonly known as a blackjack, which is a prohibited item.

The man’s bike was also seized as evidence.  He is facing charges of Carry Concealed Weapon x 2, Weapons Dangerous x 2, Possess Prohibited Weapon and Breach of Probation.  He was held for bail.
