The Sarnia Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect involved in a distraction crime. The male suspect entered a business located in the 1300 block of Exmouth Street on January 24, 2016 just before 7:00 p.m. and ordered a beverage. The suspect paid with a $50.00 bill then engaged in a conversation with the employee, thereby distracting them, and ended up with a large amount of cash in return. This is a common tactic with these types of “quick change” suspects.
The attached video has been edited to identify the suspect and does not show the entire incident.
